Welcome To Lavender & Lye

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Kyrah and I wanted to create Lavender and Lye for many reasons. I’m on a journey that many people find themselves on as well. It’s the journey of health and fitness. You see, I love all things in the natural world. I love food (healthy and unhealthy). I love the idea of exercising, actually doing it is something I’m still working on! I love essential oils. I love making soap. I love being creative. And I love learning?

If you’re like me you read books, articles, blog posts, all on how we can be the healthiest versions of ourselves. You take in all the information so excited to begin, yet for me I never do. I ask myself why. It all makes sense to me and I want to do it. What it boils down to is I’m overwhelmed. It’s called paralysis by analysis. I don’t know where to start. I feel like it has to be all or nothing. But does it?

So, I started thinking…what if I could just start one new habit a month? What if I created one new soap a month? What if I featured one new oil a month and learned as much about that oil as I could? What if I cooked one vegan meal a week? What if I had a community of people to hold me accountable or vice versa? What if we could do this together?

That got me excited! This is where I want to begin. I want to start this journey with you. So, let’s do this and see where it takes us. Are we going to be perfect? No! What we will do is learn, make progress, and be the healthiest we can be! So stayed tuned! This is just the beginning!
